FOR ARTISTS

FOR ART LOVERS

Whenever you're in the area, head over to one of our Art Carts. Once there, feel free to sort through the collection of donated artwork. We ask two simple things of you: that you leave the collection as neat as you find it and that you take no more than one piece per visit so as to give everyone a chance to walk out with a new piece of art. While not every artwork will have a tag with the artist's contact information, whenever a piece of art does have a tag, we greatly encourage you to contact the artist thanking them for their generous donation. As the Art Cart of Rochester is a program based around generosity, the best way to keep it going is to pay it back!

If you're an artist and have a piece of art that you want to donate, simply bring that artwork to a location that houses one of our Art Carts. By no means do you have to be a professional in order to donate. Whether you're an art student, have taken workshops or classes, or art is your career, we encourage you to donate. Once you arrive at our Art Cart with your artwork, you'll find tags provided for you so that you can include any information you wish (name, email, website, etc.). Simply attach that tag to your piece, find a nice spot for your work, and then you're all set. Since we want as many artists to be able to donate as possible, in order to utilize space, we ask that donated two dimensional work doesn't exceed thirty inches in it's maximum dimension and three dimensional work doesn't exceed three cubic feet. And, of course, we greatly appreciate your donation!

THE DONATION PROCESS
